Explorers Raise Funds with Cake and Sweet Jar Challenge at Scout Auction

Date: 17th May 2026 Author: James MacClancy

The Explorers section held a successful fundraising activity at the recent Scout auction, inviting visitors to guess the weight of a cake and the number of sweets in a jar.

After plenty of guesses and great support from the community, the cake’s correct weight was revealed to be 2.825kg, while the jar contained exactly 276 sweets. Congratulations went to Julie Letizia, who correctly guessed the cake’s weight and won the delicious prize. One lucky Scout also took home the jar of sweets after making the closest guess.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who took part, the Explorers raised an impressive £80 for the section. The Explorers would like to thank everyone who paid to make a guess and helped support their fundraising efforts.
