1st Strathaven Group Camp 2025: A Weekend of Adventure at Lapwing Lodge

From the 20th to the 22nd of June 2025, the 1st Strathaven Scout Group gathered at Lapwing Lodge for a fun-filled and action-packed weekend of adventure, learning, and camaraderie. With Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers all taking part, it was a true celebration of scouting spirit across all age groups.

Throughout the weekend, young people engaged in a wide variety of exciting activities. From outdoor challenges and team games to bushcraft, pioneering, and campfire cooking, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The camp offered a fantastic opportunity for members to learn new skills, make new friends, and build confidence in a supportive environment.

Evenings were spent around the campfire, where traditional songs, stories brought everyone together in classic scouting style. The older Scouts and Explorers also supported younger members, helping to foster a strong sense of community and leadership.

The 1st Strathaven Group Camp 2025 will be remembered as a highlight of the scouting year — a weekend full of laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories.
